Air India Flights
About Air India
The national airline of India, Air India, flies to both domestic and foreign locations and has connections to both major cities and smaller towns around the nation. The airline flies to over 102 destinations with a fleet size of 127 and connecting small cities to major metropolises is its strongest feature. Air India was established about 90 years ago and went by the name of Tata Airlines with headquarters in New Delhi.
The airline services its large network within the nation and abroad with a fleet of Boeing and Airbus aircraft. JRD Tata launched the airline as Tata Airlines in 1932, and he piloted its first single-engine de Havilland Puss Moth to transport mail from Karachi’s Drigh Road Aerodrome to Mumbai’s Juhu Aerodrome before continuing to Madras (now Chennai). After the Second World War, the airline changed its name to Air India and became a public limited company.
