Our last month singapore family tour was superb, thanks to Shipra Travels especially Gunjan mam who was so considerate, cooperative and helpful and gave us an affordable all inclusive well organized itinerary covering all important tourist attractions and comfortable hotel stay at 4* Hotel Boss ideally located nearby little india and marina bay where service and facilities were of high quality. As many as 104 national parks and 566 wildlife sanctuaries are a part of India’s tourism, and wildlife in India, covering a total land area of 1,71,921 km2. Most of the protected lands in India were once hunting areas for King, Queens, and common people alike. However, over the years they have become reserved forests, protected under Indian Wildlife act to save tigers and other wild animals from extinction.Â
The wildlife in India houses some of the rarest and endangered species that are on the verge of extinction such as snow leopards, Bengal tigers, one-horned rhinoceros, etc. Apart from this, wildlife in North India includes mammals such as tigers, leopards. Jackals, chital foxes, Tibetan land fox, monkeys etc. The wildlife in East India is habitat to animals like wild buffaloes, hispid hare, pygmy hog, rock python etc.
The wildlife in West India takes care of Asiatic lions, blackbucks, Indian wild ass, wolves, desert cats etc. And the wildlife in South India on the other hand houses unique animal species like mouse deers, barking deers, Nilgiri tahr, trout etc. Hence, India is blessed with rich fauna and is the only country that possesses the highest tiger and deer population across the world.
