Philippines flights

The Philippines has lifted travel restrictions for all internationally vaccinated travellers, an effective move to attract more travellers.

The Philippines has reopened its borders to fully vaccinated foreign travellers, which is an excellent piece of news for travellers! This means that after nearly two years of Philippines travel ban, the country is now welcoming international travellers again. This is an effective move by the government of the Philippines after a long time, but it requires that travellers arriving in the country are fully vaccinated.

Philippines Travel Guidelines

Effective from 10 February 2022, all vaccinated travellers are exempted from mandatory quarantine. Including this, you must provide a negative PCR test report that is not older than 48 hours on the day of your departure. Also, you will have to complete self-monitoring for seven days after arrival.

Along with the ease of the Philippines travel restrictions for international travellers, all the unvaccinated travellers can enter the country, but they’ll have to quarantine in a government facility. On the fifth day of arrival, they get tested for COVID-19 and quarantined at home for another 14 days. Also, your under 18 Kids are exempt from vaccination requirements.

Entry Into Philippines

International travellers from around 150 countries with visa-free entry are permitted to travel to the Philippines.

Vaccinated Travel

You are exempt from quarantine requirements if you have a valid vaccination certificate against COVID-19. Along with that, the final dose must have been administered at least 14 days before departure. Along with that, all vaccines must be approved by the World Health Organisation (WHO).

Other Medical Measures

Health screenings are a necessary part of any international travel. Passengers arriving in the Philippines are subject to temperature checks and visual assessment for symptoms of illness. If you’ve been vaccinated, great – but you still need to monitor yourself for symptoms for seven days after arrival.

Additional Documents Required

In order to travel to the Philippines, you must complete a case investigation form (eCIF) 3 days before arrival. You must also download and register on the Traze mobile app. Additionally, you must register through the e-Health Declaration Card (e-HDC) at least 24 hours before departure.

Measures To Be Taken While Travelling

Following health and safety guidelines is essential for preventing the spread of Covid-19. Still, it’s also necessary to take preventative health measures such as washing your hands frequently and staying within social distance. Depending on where you’re travelling, there may be more restrictive or relaxed guidance in place; at that moment, a quarantined pass is required for you to travel within the country.
