Most countries around the world have reopened their borders to international travellers, as the number of coronavirus cases continues to drop. Several countries have recognized India’s vaccine, ending restrictions, and withdrawing quarantine guidelines for travellers. On 24th October 2021, Singapore eased its restrictions for Indian travellers. Earlier Thailand had done the same. Importantly, these two Southeast Asian countries have decided to remove India as well as five other countries from their travel ban list. Check out the list of other countries that have allowed Indian passengers to fly without any restrictions.

United States of America: Recently, the US government eased COVID restrictions on 33 countries including India. Now Indian passengers will have to take a negative covid PCR report three days before the date of departure. Canada: Also, in the last few days, Canada has also lifted the ban on commercial passenger flights from India and the first flight from Delhi to Toronto left on 22 September. Air passengers travelling from Delhi will have to take an RT-PCR report for testing 18 hours before boarding time. Happily, flights to Canada resumed after four months.

Italy: Italy has also recently announced that Indians who have been vaccinated with Covidsheild are eligible for Green Pass to travel in and out of the country.

United Arab Emirates: Most importantly, the United Arab Emirates has relaxed travel guidelines and coronavirus protocols for travelers from India for the upcoming Expo 2020 Dubai.

Thailand: Last month, Thailand reopened its travel routes for Indian travelers under the Phuket sandbox programme. However, Indians have not been included in the list of quarantine free visitors. Upon arrival, Indian travellers will have to undergo quarantine for 14 days.

Singapore: On 23 October 2021, Singapore removed India and five other South Asian countries from its ban list. Now Indian travellers with a travel history of 14 days to Bangladesh, Myanmar, Pakistan, Nepal and Sri Lanka will be allowed entry or transit from the country(Singapore) with effect from 20 October 2012.

UK: The UK government has lifted travel restrictions for Indian travellers. However, Covidshield manufactured by Serum Institute and Covaxin by Bharat Biotech is not recognized by the country.
